Not only are they world record holders and Billboard chart-topping artists, but now they are the biggest K-Pop group in America. BTS, or “Bangtan Boys” has slowly but steadily entered the U.S. media and hearts of fans of all ages. Formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2013, the seven-member band has released numerous chart-topping albums, such at Wings (2016), Dark & Wild (2014), and Skool Luv Affair (2014).

They took a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time ever with their single “DNA” from the 2017 album Love Yourself: Her. The album itself is currently #1 for the second consecutive week in a row in the world, with the first place sport on Billboard’s World Albums list.
No one could get enough of BTS during their performance of “DNA” during the American Music Awards last month. Celebrities such as Jared Leto and Ansel Elgort voiced their excitement at having the group perform along with the Chainsmokers and Rachel Platten, who instagrammed a photo of the group and her together prior to the show. BTS actually set a Guinness World Record for having the most Twitter engagements for a musical group during their performance. Talk about talent.
With appearances on Ellen and The Late Late Show with James Corden, the boys are bringing not only their music, but cultural influence to American fans all over.
