21 May 2020 (Los Angeles) – May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month and America's recognition of Asian/Pacific Americans has come a long way since 1979 when President Carter designated the week of May 4th as Asian/Pacific American Heritage Week.
The month of May holds a significant meaning to the Asian/Pacific Asian community for two reasons: May 7th, 1843 was the first time Japanese immigrants arrived in the U.S. and on May 10th, 1869, the first transcontinental railroad was completed with a large contribution from Chinese pioneers. Presidents Clinton, George W. Bush, Obama and Trump have continued to recognize May as Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month.
InRage Entertainment proudly works side by side with multiple artists of Asian/Pacific American descent: Arthur Kwon Lee, Camber, Chyka, M3DI, Nyah, Sirena, ZorDonofDoom, and newly signed artists Starla Marie and Alexey.
FACT: ~6% of the U.S. population is Asian or Pacific Asian American.
ARTHUR KWON LEE
The former Tae Kwon Do national medalist turned fine artist, Arthur Kwon Lee, stands in budding contrast to America’s stereotype of the South Korean male. Covered in tattoos, muscle bound and obsessed with rap culture, Lee is an enigma in the art world.
InRage's first visual artist has a multitude of sides to him. Being competitive and passionate makes him a force to be reckoned with in the art world. Lee has been awarded by George Washington University, the Overseas National Institute, the Korea Memorial Foundation, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Korean Artist Association of United States, McLean Project for the Arts, the Jung Society of Washington and many more.
CHYKA JACKSON
Chyka Jackson is a multi-cultural artist of African American and Filipino American descent. Raised in both the U.S. and the Philippines, her mom was the first to notice the big voice coming out of her small body. She enrolled Chyka in piano and voice lessons and Chyka began performing at the age of five in cities throughout Northern California with Dalilah’s Rising Stars touring group. Despite a diagnosis of Epstein’s Anomaly, a congenital heart defect, Chyka continued pursuing the stage throughout high school and college. After performing in plays such as 'Aladdin' and 'Hairspray', Chyka's second single is in the works during #quarantine and will be out soon! Her debut single 'Dirt In My Eyes' is out now!

ALEXEY. The little drummer girl. Coming soon...
M3DI
Though music runs in M3DI's family, it wasn't until his time in the Navy that he connected with his musical gift in a purposeful way. With his guitar as his companion, he sang songs with his fellow sailors, giving them the comfort and escape they needed as they endured the challenges of military life. It was those moments of inspiration that sparked M3DI's desire to pursue music as a career. An accomplished pianist and vocalist, M3DI is beginning his journey with the InRage family as both artist-in-development and production apprentice. M3DI released his first remix under InRage on Nyah's maxi-single 'A Thousand Wishes'. Stream it here. His debut single, "Human" is coming soon.

STARLA MARIE
The InRage family welcomes our newest artist-in-development, Starla Marie. On March 12th, 2004, Kauai Mayor Bryan Baptiste presented a proclamation, declaring
the day to be “Starla Marie Day.” It was a fitting recognition that honored one of the island’s most talented residents, who has been modeling and performing on stage since theageof four. Since that great day, Starla Marie– actress, singer, songwriter, model, and producer – has only continued to build upon what was then an already impressive resume, by continuing to grow amidst the changing landscape of the music industry. She started her professional music career with numerous independent releases in Hawai‘i and then worldwide. Her work extends through Asia, across the Pacific, and in Europe, where she earned a #1 spot on France’s hit net radio and broadcast station, “Soul Clap.”
