InRage artist-in-development, Chyka, released her debut single, "Dirt In My Eyes," just last Friday on ALL your favorite streaming platforms. Written by her InRage family members, Bruce "Automatic" Vanderveer, Ebony Vanderveer, and InRage artist Autumn Cymone, Chyka delivers an emotional performance connected to her life experiences.
We all go through hardships and run into obstacles that make us feel like we are being teared down. "Deep down in your heart and in the depths of your mind, you know that you are strong. Stronger than any heartbreak or disappointment. You will rise. You will walk away victorious. You have grit and tenacity. Just wipe the dirt from your eyes and keep going." - Chyka
Chyka Jackson is a multi-cultural artist of African American and Filipino American descent. Raised in both the U.S. and the Philippines, her mom was the first to notice such a big voice coming out of her small body. She enrolled Chyka in piano and voice lessons and Chyka began performing at the age of five in cities throughout Northern California with Dalilah’s Rising Stars touring group. Despite a diagnosis of Epstein’s Anomaly, a congenital heart defect, Chyka continued pursuing her dreams on the stage throughout high school and college, studying at the Arizona Conservatory for the Arts and Academics and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. After receiving her BFA, she performed in Disney’s “Aladdin” at Utah’s Tuachan Arts Center and she starred as Lil’ Inez in Hollywood Bowl’s production of “Hairspray”. In development with InRage Entertainment, "Dirt In My Eyes" is her newest debut single.
